@scribu @yoast Those pop ups are really annoying. I've been contemplating writing a plugin to remove them in WordPress SEO.
@webgarb oops. Wrong URL .. http://blitz.io
@five15design Problem solved 😀
@five15design Thanks for tweeting F1 by the way! I forgot about the race till I saw your flurry of tweets 😀
@five15design I thought the same thing. No mention of it so far though.
@DeFries @rmccue @anthonycole Never heard of it. I signed up for http://pingdom.com yesterday though.
@rmccue @anthonycole True. Wouldn't it be useful to measure the exact load you can place on a page instead of doing it separately though?
@rmccue @anthonycole For my own site I have moved everything off onto CDN anyway so is largely a moot point.
@rmccue @anthonycole Doing them all in one hit seems like a more "real-world" way of doing it. It's killer expensive though.
@rmccue @anthonycole I don't think blitz.io loads static assets. It just loads whatever page you asked it to hit, mins static assets.
@rmccue @anthonycole But @LoadImpact costs a whole bunch more than @blitz_io unfortunately.
@rmccue @anthonycole I'm finding that @LoadImpact is much better for load testing a site which is hosting it's own static assets.
@bronsonquick That sounded boring. Once I figured it out. Not so boring. Quite funky actually.
@bronsonquick But why do you buy the phone from them? I just bought my phone from an electronics shop. Not locked down then.
@anthonycole @bronsonquick You are making me hungry. And making me want to update my phone.
@bronsonquick I never understand why you people buy phones locked to carriers. Sounds like nothing but problems.
@bronsonquick I have noticed that iPhones have some advantages, like smoother scrolling. Quite noticeable when scrolling up and down pages.
@bronsonquick I was thinking of getting an S4, but my phone died so I had to buy a replacement earlier than expected 😀
@bronsonquick Do you prefer the Nexus to Galaxy S3? I have the S3. Seems pretty good so far.
Any Norwegians out there feel like proof reading my badly written language class assignment? https://random.hellyer.kiwi/norsk-settninger-ta-en/
@linode and @blitz_io, I've been discussing your services on my blog … https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/2012/09/01/blitz-lo/
New blog post. How to DDOS yourself in one easy step … https://geek.hellyer.kiwi/2012/09/01/blitz-lo/
@__jester I assume Varnish or NGINX page caching would be able to serve files quicker than Batcache since it wouldn't need to hit PHP.
@__jester I am no expert. I just following instructions and it seems to be working so far 😀
@__jester I really don't like W3TC. Too much junk in there and really confusing. Batcache is uber simple.
@__jester I have all my static assets on Amazon Cloudfront.
@__jester I received a lot of help from @konstruktors with setting up the box. I'm a bit of a n00b at such things.
@__jester Batcache with @markjaquith 's APC plugin.
@N3RVE I had to deactivate it at one point because I couldn't get it working with imo.im. Really annoying.
@__jester Mine still seemed to be operational even with 1000 concurrent users, so I'm pretty happy with that 😀
@__jester Because you are busy or because you don't want your site going down?
Anyone want their site DDOS'd right now? I have an account active at blitz.lo for next 40 mins if you want me to load test your site.
@rmccue @anthonycole blitz.lo is awesome! Thanks for the link. I started getting timeouts at 250 concurrent users and got errors at 924.
@rmccue Thanks 😀
@anthonycole @rmccue I want to see how much traffic my websites can handle. Am taking guesses based on AB, but not sure how accurate that is
@jmuenster Were you there when I was wearing it?
I created a new blog today 😀 https://random.hellyer.kiwi/
@socialspace Two Ryan's involved in the tech industry at Otago uni. I guess that's an understandable confusion.
