@chip_bennett Are you sure you need require_once there at all? I'd have thought plain old require() would be best.
@utkarshkukreti Awesome! Now for the big question …. why did that work?
@utkarshkukreti Thanks. I hadn't even bothered testing it in that yet. Good to know it's consistently not working at least 🙂
An annoying CSS problem for any of you looking for a puzzle to solve 🙂 http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=728734
@JellyBeen I've heard bad reports on the boxing, but it seemed to work fine to me. I was expecting MUCH worse.
Bought Kinect sports. 1 hour solid of boxing and I'm totally pooped!
Currently knee deep in e-commerce code. Brain about to explode …
@itsananderson That sounds like an even easier solution 🙂
@JellyBeen I had a hunt through a bunch of those, but they mostly used dirty hacks of some sort. @ronalfy 's solution should work perfectly.
@ronalfy I'd been looking for a filter. Didn't even dawn on me it was stashed in a global. Makes sense now 🙂
@ronalfy Bingo, I found it 🙂 http://wordpress.org/support/topic/changes-in-smileys-hack-for-28
@ronalfy Ohh, that sounds much better 🙂 … and the smilies global is found where?
@jennybeaumont That's a really bad way to do it as it'll break on upgrades. There must be a way to do it properly, I just haven't found it.
@andrea_r Nope, that's just a core hack 🙁 See the installation instructions .. http://bit.ly/erbT0q
@markmcwilliams I am also 80% sure there's a filter but don't know where to find it 🙁
Anyone know how to change the WordPress emoticons? All instructions I've found say to hack the core which I'm sure can't be the only way.
Spammer asked me where I live. I said "Akismet". Spammer isn't replying now. Conversation is over.
Lolz, I'm talking to spammer right now 🙂
@andrea_r Most likely. I just hadn't seen it until I went to get "inspiration" from them and discovered I was allowed to rip it directly 🙂
Kudos to @automattic for releasing their TOS and Privacy policies under CC license. Much appreciated 🙂
@joshkdavies Thanks 🙂 Just saw your message now.

RT @andrea_r: hey super admins, ever wanna change the contextual help in multisite? Now you can! http://is.gd/ITPNx0
The support at http://musupport.net/ from @andrea_r and @wpmuguru is kick ass!
@Rarst I was a little surprised just how easy it was.
Check out the giant Dragonfly I saw recently in the Matukituki valley … https://ryan.hellyer.kiwi/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/dragon-fly1.jpg
@conorpegypt @davecoveney @merrillg @Rarst wp_widget_rss_output() was what I needed 🙂 I found that in the @wpcandy dashboard plugin 🙂
@merrillg Any ideas on how to go about doing that?
@conorpegypt @davecoveney Thanks. I'll go check those plugins out and see what I can pull out of them 🙂
I need to make a WP dashboard widget which displays an RSS feed from a site. Anyone know of a good example of this I can pinch code from?
MS expects me to buy a cable for HDMI w/ RCA audio for XBOX360 when all I need to do is break open the one they provide so it fits!?
@Otto42 I agree. I have a linkedin account, but it does little more than gather dust.
@staceyk18 We should discuss a potential meetup at WordCamp Wellington.
@staceyk18 Yep, I'll be there. We should have a south island WP meetup at some point too! There's quite a few WP themers around the island.
@staceyk18 I thought I was going nuts after the ChCh quakes, but it turned out that 95% of the time I wasn't 😀 Other 5% was probly wind 😀
@staceyk18 Just noticed you are based in NZ. Where are you exactly? I'm based in Dunedin. Nice to see another kiwi WP developer 🙂

WP developers must be still hung over from New Years. I've gone from zero work, to nothing but "urgent, needs done overnight" jobs.
RT @Frumph: #wordpress #plugin #developers please stop programming the user interfaces for yourself, design it for end users, k, thanks.
