@simonwheatley I've been working with one today which has over 10 variables in it. When I want to add another, I find it really messy.

Does anyone else find it confusing as heck when code is riddled with printf's instead of just dumping the variables out directly?

@trepmal That sounds like a bug in your code to me then. I use Core Control for debugging this sort of stuff .. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/core-control/

@trepmal Things like Batcache get around these sorts of issues since their out of the box setup resets the cache fairly regularly.

@trepmal Does the site have any sort of intense caching? Perhaps WP Super Cache or W3TC?

@trepmal I'd guess most failed WP Crons are due to caching. You can get around that by occasionally pinging the server via regular cron.

@trepmal Or at least I've never noticed any problems. I have multiple things relying on WP Cron and have never seen them fail on multisite.

@simonwheatley Don't do that! Remove the "compatible" entirely. That way it won't indicate that it hasn't been tested with newer versions.

@ngaireackerley I assume that is a reference to developers building custom Twitter applications, not websites dumping out lists of tweets.
