Any recommendations on an IRC client for Mac? I previously used X Chat on Ubuntu. I didn't like it very much though.

@jmuenster Yeah, you can't drag and drop stuff directly between windows. You have to go into that big screen (not sure what it's called).

@NinjaLikesCheez I know, but that's annoying as crap when you use that button constantly. I'll get used to it in time.

@NinjaLikesCheez Said like a true Mac user. I never delete items via the delete key. I use it to delete text.

@NinjaLikesCheez Lack of a delete key in particular will always be annoying, but I'm used to that from my Chromebook.

@NinjaLikesCheez It's not a big deal. Just something I'll need to get used to. I'm sure I'll find more stuff like this.

@NinjaLikesCheez If so, that's not what I mean. Ubuntu lets you just drag them whilst using them. No need to go to a separate screen.

@NinjaLikesCheez Oh, I think I know what you mean. Are you referring to the screen which shows boxes at the top for each space?

@NinjaLikesCheez Nope, they just disappear into nothingness when I do that.

@zamoose Ubuntu does it. You can drag and drop stuff between panes and leave half of a window in one pane and the other half in another.

@zamoose Found that. That's not what I meant though. I mean you can't drag them directly, ie: have the same window split between two panes.

Hmmm, Mac OSX doesn't seem to support drag and drop between spaces. This will take some getting used to!

@zamoose I was confused since you seem to need to create the extra "spaces". I think I've got it sorted now.

@Ipstenu That doesn't seem to mention anything about spaces.

The instructions keep saying "Visit your Expose and Spaces pane", except I don't think that exists in latest OSX from what I can tell.

Does anyone know how to use virtual desktops in OSX? I'm reading about something called "spaces" but I'm not sure that's the same thing.

@five15design I kinda needed a new one anyway as the button was munted on my old one. Stupid pens cost almost as much as the whole tablet.

@IanTLS @five15design If I want to install Skype app, I need to go through multiple steps on Mac OSX. Not so in Ubuntu.

@five15design You don't need to know how to install apps on Ubuntu. Find it in software center and click it … KABOOM! Done 🙂

@five15design @ninjalikescheez I don't like Safari much, I prefer Chrome. I have no use for iTunes. I'm going to try Netbeans for code.

@five15design @ninjalikescheez Mac OSX software installation is more like how Windows handles it.

@five15design Software center is used for installing applications. Stupidly easy to use.

@NinjaLikesCheez @five15design The Mac app store is nowhere near as good as the Ubuntu software center.
